I think I am back in the swing of things here. I had a really good day in the studio! I let go and allowed inspiration to take over. When summer ended (school started) and I began to focus on art full time again, I decided I'd implement a few "best practices" in my studio. I am not getting on the computer in the morning or until school is out. I am not going to get on Facebook or look at emails. I may be slower to respond, but I have to focus on my work and not allow interruptions and distractions. One of the big distractions is other artists... seeing their posts about travel, awards, etc. Now I sound bitter. Its just that if I pay too much attention to other's work, I lose my own voice and motivation. Unplug to tune in.
